Tensions ran high as the provincial premiers met with Prime Minister Trudeau in Vancouver on March 2. On the agenda was a national approach to climate change issues. One topic up for discussion was the implementation of a federal carbon tax.

The Prime Minster's Office is directing the new minister of employment and labour to improve the country’s Employment Insurance system. The Liberal government plans to repeal some of the recent changes made by the past government and to reduce premiums.

The future is bright for the hens that work in the restaurant business. Tim Hortons and Burger King restaurants will now be serving cage-free eggs at their locations in Canada, Mexico and the U.S. by the year 2025.
